Encounters in the Blue.

More than 30 years ago, my journey into the underwater world began. At some point, I started taking photographs to capture these endless and extraordinary encounters.

I was especially fascinated by the small, often perfectly camouflaged creatures and their symbiotic relationships. Once you know who lives with whom, you suddenly discover a whole new world.

This is where my love for detail began, and ultimately, my desire to portray the incredible diversity of corals – their abstract shapes and colours as works of art created by nature.
